Final Project, Artist Statement

For the final project, I was inspired by a quote I found, "Imagine a world where the words you speak appear on your skin, would you be more careful of what you say? "- Ronit Bigal. This quote really inspired me and got me thinking creatively of what this might look like. I am planing on having a girl from the waist up covered in words that are coming out of her mouth. For what she is saying, I plan on having negative comments turn to positive, and showing the impact this concept would have on a person. Depending on how that goes, I also considered doing a triptych to show the gradual increase of words on her skin, as well as a positive change in her state of mind.

Tutorial

For the cyclical nature project, I plan to explore the cycle of buildings in nature. I want to show how nature takes its tole on outdoor structures, and how humans take effect on rebuilding and continuing that cycle. I want to show the building, decomposing, destruction and rebuilding process.
